No worries. I wouldnβt have missed it for anything. Great fun.

Longing longingly out of the train at that first pint in the distance.
I am a rock bottom riser/and I owe it all to you
Sometimes all I want to do is listen to Bill Callahan like forever.
On my way
This is a fine take on biography. Christofi crafting Dostoyevskyβs life out of Fydorβs own words. Utterly readable and convincing.
Heβs also on this giving good value with @iammilliam.bsky.social , John and Arifa Akbar www.backlisted.fm/episodes/150...
Bookpost is the best post.
@littletollerbooks.bsky.social continuing to do Godβs work with this lovely reissue of Thomasβ The Icknield Way with a gorgeous Spencer Gore cover.
It may be the devil or it may be the Lord but you gotta serve somebody.
Sometimes as a teacher you mark something that makes you want to applaud the child for genuinely showing you something youβve never seen before.
I think I may love @iammilliam.bsky.social Auditory even more than his Inventory. Today I was transported back to 1985 and the Hammersmith Palais where I had my brain shredded by the Cramps with my good friends Jon and Mike. We still talk about that gig.
Man, Andy has good taste. Thank you.
She lived for a while round the corner from house in Leigh on Sea - I have always felt there should be some acknowledgment of this by the local authorities.
The Barnes would probably hit the sweetspot
What Iβve read so far this year. Thanks to all the writers, publishers and enthusiasts, including @lesfugitivespress.bsky.social @stuhennigan.bsky.social @iammilliam.bsky.social @conduitbooks.bsky.social @smwwriting.bsky.social @judecook.bsky.social @pippayork.bsky.social @backlisted.bsky.social
βSmall presses who canβt afford big advances get gazumped by publishers who then do nothing to promote those books.β
Good interview with Neil Griffiths - founder of Weatherglass Books and the Queen Mary small press fiction prize (nΓ© the Republic of Consciousness Prize).
Obvs. Innit.
Have faith in wordless knowledge
Well, I can tell you about the river
Or we could just get in
Bill Callahan
If youve not tried the audiobook, Iβd wholeheartedly recommend it - read by the master himself.
+1 on PM
You know sometimes you just need to remind yourself just how enjoyable it is to listen to Bob just do Bob stuff. I maintain heβs one of the best rhyming poets of the 20/21 Century. Sublime.
If all the Bob Dylan βofficial bootlegβ sets that have been put together, the one I return to most often is Tell Tale Signs, and in particular, an absolutely barnstorming High Water (for Charley Patton)
Re-reading Jean Rhys. Every page studded with these kind of moments.
Been looking forward to seeing this - there was a period of time where every time KPunk posted it was a vital dispatch from the frontline.
Me too. Looking forward to the others coming out later in the year.
Devoured Fatale this weekend and read the NYRB Nada just before Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed reading him. He is a lot of fun.
Happy publication day to @stuhennigan.bsky.social and @ortacpress.bsky.social #GetKeshed
Thanks Andy. Iβve told you in person how much Backlisted means to me. I look forward to all of the side projects that are on their way.
Take care, be kind to yourself and see you round the clubs.
These two albums were among my mumβs favourites. I didnβt take much from her stuff when she passed away except for probably a dozen records including these. Itβs enough.
Yep.
You could've walked out any time you wanted but face it you
Didn't have the courage
I guess that makes you a full time hypocrite or some kind of
Twisted dilettante
It is! I read during my lunch hour at work and knew i had to thank you for it when i got home. I love what Inventory is becoming.
I also had to get a pic of one of the oddest books on popular music to go with my praise.
Particularly enjoyed @iammilliam.bsky.social latest Inventory - itβs a manifesto for caring about things and shouting loudly about the importance of art and music and culture and all those artefacts they make us tick. Art may not make anything happen but makes us us.
