It's interesting though... the older I get, the less shit I give about "details", about "scale", about "features", about "graphics" in a game.
None of that stuff impresses or upsets me anymore. The only thing I look for in a game these days is having fun, and that's it.
Exactly, it really does. There is a place and market for everyone, Digimon has been doing it for DECADES! and hell, as much as Palworld is not my vibe and also has it's blatant rip-offs, at least they *tried* with their game.
Go this vile way is so disheartening... I feel for the people affected.
All this is the result of people's spite against Pokémon by the way. If y'all could just stop at "I don't like the games anymore" and move on, none of this would have happen.
But you all like to embolden conmans to "stick it to the man"... now even fan artists are being ripped off by these people.
Man... I feel so sorry for these Pokémon fanartists, they really don't deserve any of this.
I'd be disheartened to see a design I put so much love into to go into garbage like this... specially without my fucking permission.
SwSh's biggest problem is the lackluster story, but the rest of the game was enjoyable for me. SV had the issues at launch and that was unacceptable, but they since fixed these and vowed to do better. And again, I had so much fun with the game it didn't bother me.
But I know I'm the weird one here.
For me, having fun is good, everything else is extra. if you can't have fun with a game, you don't have nothing. It can be the most graphically intense, most optimized game and scalable game ever... it will feel empty.
Do I think SwSh and SV could've been better? sure. They aren't bad games either.
