Do I recommend?
No. I got almost nothing out of this. Also as there was no creative harmony between the Webtoon and the TV series it that even the mere exercise of comparing both gave pretty empty results.

I liked the action scenes but otherwise this show is a conceptual mess. The radio show idea was so peripheral to this TV series that there was no point tying this TV show it into those original Webtoons as at heart both are completely different entities.

I can see how this show was good on paper. Each ep has a different demon so can be structured as differently from each other as possible with each demon having its own approach. But in reality it's a world where the rules aren't known meaning it's all bitty and not immersive.

A bit late in the day we are getting the links between Arvino and Viska. A streaming show giving the backstory of the villain in its penultimate ep is rather cliched by now. Arvino's mother should've been seeded in the hospital several eps ago in a cameo.

Ok we are just going through the different sins as expected. I like the different designs of the sins even if the idea is really passรฉ.
It's such a disjointed narrative and only two eps are left but so far there's nothing really connecting the whole concept.

The framework being used is too undercooked in that it kills the mystery as it's just Arvino lining up the next demon now. It makes the show too safe and conventional.

Problem is Viska is assaulted by these demons every second. So we've never actually seen Viska be normal, ie we've no idea who she is because bad shit happens to her relentlessly.
Also wasn't the bad stuff only supposed to last from 10pm to 11pm ie when the radio show is on?

So Viska and her (twin?) brother have "powers" somehow that allow demons to concentrate supernatural acts? Fine I guess but I've still no idea why the makers decided to use the radio show idea or the webtoon at all?

A mess. The story makes no sense and is a random collection of old horror tropes all dumped in together.
As expected Viska will just face a new sin demon each ep but there's no reason this is happening. I guess her backstory will reveal but like why bother?

So rather disappointingly this series is based on Christian morality it does still give me a bit of the good old Indonesian horror. So despite the tires scenes of crucifixes and confession boxes maybe the horror delivered might yet still be proper Indonesian horror.

Very odd writing. The protagonist goes through an ordeal but she didn't do anything lustful bar one quick glance at a guy yet she is being punished somewhy?
The scares were all quite non-linear and even a Hell demon arrives and leaves halfway through the ep empty handed.

As expected bar the 10PM radio show and Arvino nothing else was used from the Webtoons. Disappointingly whereas the webtoon used Indonesian myth this is using bog standard Catholic fare. Frankly I don't watch Indonesian horror to experience Christian trappings.

This is the last of the 5 webtoons. Again it's just decent.
Overall I'm surprised these mere 5 webtoons got picked up to be adapted for a TV series. I guess they can tell the idea is better than the execution as yet.

Saying that how the later TV series fleshes out the idea is of more importance.

This webtoon is more substantial. It feel like this webtoon was influence by the #SimpleMan horror threads on Twitter which were also Indonesian and had started earlier in 2019. But I don't really know enough abut Indonesian horror to make that call.
