31 July 1911: the Rt Revd Cecil Wilson (1860-1941) resigns after 17 years as third Bishop of Melanesia. Heading to Adelaide to be Archdeacon, and Rector of Walkerville. #anglican #113years "The appointment has naturally created comment..." An Assistant Bishop was fairly novel.
