This little blighter fledged just before 6am today but after returning to the ledge, & enjoying a long sleep, has spent the whole day refusing to return to the skies to be with his family. He's not received food, so I hope his parents starve him back out! 😂 #367Collins #Peregrines

The VPP's Victor Hurley has spoken: A fledge is a fledge, regardless of whether the fledgling immediately returned to the nest.

Well, a bit earlier today, I think the male decided it was his time to fledge. And then came straight back to the ledge, landing with a thud. Maybe he got out there and thought "No, I'm not ready for this. Really not ready." #367Collins #PeregrineFalcons

FYI, the fledglings are not strong enough to fly back up to the ledge at #367Collins.
They stay with the parents who will continue to feed them & teach them to hunt. Once a fledgling is proficient in hunting for itself, they will move/get moved on to find their own territory.
