Grateful to join Russian Riverkeeper for a tour of the Russian River Floodplain Restoration Project in #Sonoma County. The project will transform harmful gravel pits into floodplains that protect our river and our communities.

This week I met with Superintendent Dr. Angelica Garcia and several members of the Santa Rosa Junior College Board of Trustees. We discussed how California can continue supporting our students and our higher education system in light of federal budget cuts and other challenges.

This morning, I had the opportunity to provide remarks and visit a proposed segment of the SF Bay Trail in Larkspur.
The project will link over 10 miles of space for pedestrians and bicyclists, which will reduce congestion and provide car-free transportation for residents!
