Elements of building a successful coalition:
- no one leader
- both residents and non-residents
- identifying adult allies to connect to resources and networks
- centering youth priorities

Important to recognize and work with constraints of youth-led advocacy:
- quick turnover due to school and work
- seen as 'kids' who are not taken seriously by decision-makers (using 'youth' instead to harness power)
