Made it through my epicardial ablation. Apparently I gave the electrophysiologists quite the challenge, but after 6 hours all the faulty circuits had been blocked and no ventricular tachycardia could be induced #arvc #cardiomyopathy 🫀

Getting settled in at the hospital for my epicardial ablation tomorrow. I’ve already had an endocardial ablation to manage my arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, but as my arrhythmias were coming from the outside of my heart, I’ll need an ablation there to set things right #ARVC

Cardiomyopathy update: Today is the first day of increased beta-blockade and I've slammed into a wall, as predicted. Sluggish as hell, I can barely keep my eyes open, yet alone focussed, and I've been nodding-off mid-sentence.

At the hospital, waiting for my annual cardiac device (ICD) check. This is where I get the impedance measured on the wires and shock coils in my heart. They will also run some diagnostics to check if the device programming/profile needs a tweak. #ARVC #cardiomyopathy

Did I *want* to get up at 5:30am on a Saturday? No. On the other hand I’m sure I’m not the only dog owner who gets up to care for a dog with medical needs. Pearl will need her cardiac meds the rest of her life, so get up at 5:xx every day I shall.

Someone’s tummy is finally feeling better!!! (It’s Pearl) Someone is eating full meals, not throwing up, & doing their business in the yard normally. This is at least 3 days with no upsets. We’ve been struggling to balance her cardiac meds & food & looks like we finally hit it. 🥹
