Why is ST depression called "ischemia" and ST elevation called "infarction?" Is ST elevation REALLY an infarction, and - if so - why are we "treating" dead tissue? Are you aware that by following the STEMI paradigm, you are missing 25 - 30% of acute coronary artery occlusions that would benefit from immediate revascularization in the cath lab? Have you ever wondered why some acute "MIs" have no recognizable changes on the ECG? Or... do they?

Learn about everything you were never taught about acute myocardial ischemias! And learn which ideas you may have about ischemia are completely false and misleading!

"Getting Acquainted With Ischemia and Infarction - Ischemia Is NOT an Infarction!" will greatly enhance your ability to recognize very subtle ECG changes indicative of acute transmural ischemia. Sharpen your diagnostic skills while expanding your knowledge!

Available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.

Welcome to Medicus of Houston - an internationally-recognized provider of continuing medical education in the field of electrocardiography. Each course represents a deep dive into advanced ECG interpretation. The Masterclasses last four full days, are presented live and in-person by Jerry E. Jones, MD FACEP FAAEM, one of the world's most acclaimed instructors in advanced ECG interpretation. And every course is interactive - each participant will have the opportunity to interpret complex ECGs in class while being assisted and guided by Dr. Jones. Each Masterclass is limited to a maximum of just 20 participants, allowing more interaction between participants and with Dr. Jones.

Every course of this sort leads to questions regarding the topics being discussed and the Masterclasses are no different. What IS different, however, is that you can ask questions AT ANY TIME during the presentations! Dr. Jones is also available during the breaks and the latter part of the lunch hour to answer your questions! Are you back in your hotel room looking over your notes and a question suddenly arises? Dr. Jones is available until 10 pm each evening by phone and is happy to advise you.

Note the ChatBot in the bottom right of the screenshot. You can communicate directly with Dr. Jones via this Bot. You will not receive any AI-generated responses - every response will be from Dr. Jones himself! You can also email him using the Contact Us page or speak with him directly via the Medicus of Houston phone (also on the Contact Us page).

Join us in Houston, Texas (June 9 - 12, 2025) for a deep dive into complex dysrhythmias: The Masterclass in Advanced Dysrhythmias. This course not only addresses little discussed knowledge regarding the basic dysrhythmias, it goes much further into those dysrhythmias that are combinations of other dysrhythmias and introduces concepts such as concealed conduction, paroxysmal AV block, the problems presented by parasystoles, atypical pre-excitation and the problems that arise when the PR interval surpasses the R-R interval. We also spend a full day on wide complex tachycardias.

You will learn the physiology behind these complex dysrhythmias to help you in your analysis and diagnoses. You will also learn how to laddergram a dysrhythmia!

All the Masterclasses are limited to just 20 participants per class and there are already fewer than 20 places remaining. Learn more by going to our website…

Let me tutor and mentor you regarding electrocardiography for one hour. One-on-one. Privately - via ZOOM. Do you have an ECG that you just don't understand? Is there a concept you just can't grasp? Have you received any negative feedback from colleagues or a peer review committee regarding your ECG interpretation skills?

I will tutor you at any level - beginner to advanced! You can choose the topic(s) or send me some ECGs that you want to discuss.

I only require two things:

	1) For medicolegal reasons, I cannot be involved in the ongoing management of a patient. You will have to verify that the patient from whom the ECG was recorded is not currently under your care or management.
	2) All topics will be limited to the diagnosis of ECGs. I do not discuss the management of patients or any other medical disciplines. I teach ECG interpretation only.

I understand that CME can be very expensive when adding the cost of travel, lodging and other incidentals to the cost of the registration fee. If you can gather a group of at least 15 participants, I will come to YOUR area of the world (or as close as is feasible). This will greatly reduce the total cost! I will arrange the venue as well as my own travel expenses.

YOU will also benefit by automatically qualifying for the group discount rate which reduces the cost of registration by $100 per participant.

The group members do not have to be all the same specialties, and you can include nurse practitioners and physician assistants, also. Participants from other hospitals and institutions in your area could also form part of the group.

For more information, contact Jerry W. Jones MD via email (jwjmd@medicusofhouston.com) or call the Medicus of Houston office: 1-713-393-9944 (M-F, 9 am - 5 pm, Central US Time) to speak with Dr. Jones directly.

Ever wonder why you feel intimidated by wide complex tachycardias? It's probably because you never acquired the knowledge or skills to confidently address these formidable tachydysrhythmias!

"Getting Acquainted With Wide Complex Tachycardias - A Workbook for the Electrocardiographically Confused!" will introduce you to all the concepts you will need to master the diagnosis and management of these rhythms. Plus, it provides exercises for you to practice and enhance your skill!

Available from amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
