Fun detail about #Axiom, my superhero setting.
In the first version of The Echelon, the Avengers/Justice League equivalent, there's a guy called IRONHIDE (turns into a Steel Colossus).

Okay, another #Axiom character.
GEOMETRIC (AKA Geo) - Spacial manipulation powers based entirely around geometry. Whenever he warps space into different shapes, the dimensionality within said geometric shapes warps to fit the new form.
Plastic Man, DC's preeminent stretchy hero.
Ditto the... *everything* pokemon.
Well, I couldn't help myself.
I needed a stretchy hero for #Axiom, and I really couldn't help myself.
I inadvertently another Tomboy hero named BUBBLE GUM. Stretchy powers, a bit of shapeshifting. And bubble gum themed coloring (including hair and flesh mid-power usage).
Sorry, but also not.
Trying to take some influence regarding Misfit the Rat Man in #Axiom.

Just a kind and witty but also somewhat spooky rat themed street level hero with a ghostly rat vibe from the swarm of spirits possessing him.
This is not a good hour for my brain to go "Here are the pieces to the design of the superhero who is possessed by a swarm of rat sprits that are slowly turning him into an actual rat man".
Save anything #Axiom related for waking hours, dumb head jello...
Stalker aka Lian Zhou, who the entire title is based around. You'd never guess that a couple years ago in-story, this tall and handsome hero with immense strength, endurance and sensory manipulation abilities was actually a 5 ft. tall ballerina whose sister saved her with an untested formula when gangsters broken into the lab and stole an experiment that they turned into a street drug. Lian's story, at its core, is about the struggle to figure out who you are after a great tragedy. What society demands of you - as a victim, as a hero, as someone they want you to be but are not, as someone you want yourself to be but are not willing to face because of what you were raised to be. At what point is heroism a calling? At what point is it just putting on a brave face and going through the motions because that's what everyone expect of you? At what point must you face the mirror and ask "Who am I?" That is something Lian and every other character must ask themselves eventually.
Despair, a Plague Doctor vigilante type in his earliest design stage. The whole idea is for a modernized take on the Plague Doctor character design, taking the themes and atmosphere of Edgar Allan Poe stories and recontextualizing them through a superhero lens. Because fun fact - Despair's name is *actually* Allan Poe.
A thing about #Axiom, my superhero setting, is it began with the idea of three types you don't see in comics as the leads.
But only Stalker (drawn by @xxsethxx.bsky.social) and Despair (drawn by @zarynosvt.vtubers.social) got art.
I hope to finalize designs and bring the 3rd to life someday soon.
Looking at @qsy.bsky.social's artwork and I said "screw it".
So I'm giving the undead detective named Zee a ghost greaser tomboy assistant who died in the 1950's named Clara "Spike" Spikowski.
I mean, why not? #Axiom is my comic setting, after all...
Next on #Axiom 's agenda is The Crimson Lady, a vampire crime lord with life force manipulation.
After that, Hero designs.

Okay, so the main thing I added that's Manhua inspired is actually a Triad called THE FIVE DEMONS.
When you combine TEDDY BOY (aka YOUNG & DANGEROUS) with FIVE DEADLY VENOMS and THE HAND, you get an interdimensional gang that serves as one of the most powerful cartels in all of Nexus.

A woman of South Asian features, serving as one of the references I will use for the personal attendant of The Crimson Lady, the vampire queen that is one of the antagonists for my superhero OC setting. Much like the rest of Verbena's retinue, she will be an outcast with a deep secret beyond her seeming. Adding another layer to what makes The Crimson Lady such a fierce and dangerous adversary for anyone already daring to challenge her.
Okay, so I decided to expand the retinue of The Crimson Lady, the Caribbean vampire queen/crime lord of the Nyctos District in #Axiom, my cape #OC setting.

Red and Whitey Whitmore - a Tomboy who runs an auto repair shop with a temper and love for her community, and her husband that runs a local game/comic shop that caters to interdimensional customers called ANOTHER CASTLE.

Inching closer and closer to having the 100 starting characters I want to have prepped before going forward with any serious work on #Axiom, my superhero OC setting.
I've only got a couple non-cape characters, so I need to focus on more regular citizens instead of heroes, villains or neutrals.
