#SanFrancisco is the “City That Knows How.” Mayor Lurie has found funding for other projects he champions.

I hope #SF leaders learn from other locations where officials failed to do all they could to ensure redundancy in their #AlertAndWarning tools. Lives depend on this decision.

#AlertSF, in addition to requiring functioning cell towers, is a subscriber-based system. That means members of the public have to opt in to receive alerts.

CPB asks stations to pause Next Generation Warning System projects - Current “We recognize the difficulty of the stations’ situations, and we are exploring all avenues to move forward expeditiously,” a CPB spokesperson said.
