Launch of Ariane 5 VA214 lifting off from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana on 25 July 2013, carrying Europe’s Alphasat telecom satellite.

Corrected: #OTD 25 July 2013, #Alphasat, the largest European communications satellite ever built (now known as Inmarsat-4A F4), was launched on #Ariane5 flight VA214 from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana.
