#AniMay Bikini Warriors (2015) - closed AniMay with the stupidest trashiest thing I could find (Crunchyroll algorithm has no respect for me), 40m of RPG jokes delivered by four jiggly adventurers. A couple gags are shockingly good, but there’s really only one reason (8 reasons?) why this exists.

#AniMay Solo Leveling S1-2 (2024) - pure popcorn, amusing quasi-isekai JRPG-themed wish fulfillment trash. The characters are pretty bland, as is the story, but I still enjoyed it as a time waster with some good monster designs and action, and at least it wasn’t packed with embarrassing fan service.

#AniMay Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (2022) - starts as Gundam Hogwarts, mean girls and sapphic romantic drama, but doesn’t stay there long as sudden violence breaks in and we get into the usual Gundam themes of adults vs children, YA drama, PTSD, child soldiers, and truly terrible parents.

Day 29 is Mistress Moon, another of my OC’s from The Haven universe and the main villain/antagonist. I picked Mistress Moon for the overlord style as its fitting with a villainous character as the series protagonist, though mistress moon is very much not a protagonist, it felt fitting picking from my OC villains for the Overlord inspired style.

#AniMay Tales from Earthsea (2006) - put this off forever, and now I know why. Not bad per se, but it lacks any narrative urgency or drive, it meanders, characters are barely sketched, motivations are opaque at best, worldbuilding is desultory, I kept starting and stopping; had to power through.

#AniMay Birth (1984) - real Heavy Metal-ass anime, and if, like me, you love trippy, cheerfully sleazy (in the most PG of ways) sci-fi 1980s OVAs, I guarantee you will find this a good time. Kinda the perfect intersection of stupid and awesome, with wild action sequences and funky designs.
