First game of #aos4 with my son this afternoon. Just the Core rules with basic battleplan. No advanced or army rules just so we can focus on the mechanics. Overall impression was positive; felt like a game rather than just damage focus. The armies felt like their lore as well.

#AoS4 isn’t bad, but its core is really flavorless. The level of shenanigans is so high, that if you want traditional wargame experience, you need to pick an army with “does wargame things” as its hat.
(And, yes, my Sacrosanct Chamber Stormcast got squatted.)

Played my first full game of #AoS4 today.
I'm more about building minis than strategy, but immediately after the game I was thinking about what minis to buy to improve my army. That is a Warhammer edition that succeeded at its goal.
(Crystal is less happy, but her entire army got squatted)
