In this image, shows a copy of the headline for a piece by journalist Steve Zemek for THE AUSTRALIAN, dated 9 Dec 2022, the headline, etc states,

"Church leaders defend not reporting pedophile preacher Frank Houston to police: court"

"Church leaders didn't report pedophile preacher Frank Houston to the police when they learned of his abuse of a boy in the late 1990s for one explosive reason, a court has heard."

- they believed at the time the *r* of the seven year old victim came to light, they believed the now young adult victim was old enough to do it themselves (added context provided by: Viona Crowley

WRATH has chosen to highlight this part of Jack Stradwick's social media comment here alongside the 9 Dec 2022, Australian headline, NOT AS AN ACCUSATION OF OR EVIDENCE OF KNOWLEDGE (of Frank Houston's predatory sexual behaviour and sexual assaults on children he accessed through his various churches, groups and associations), but to highlight how church hierarchy (worldwide, of all denominations) have long struggled, and still do, with managing accusations of impropriety, especially the sexual assault of vulnerable children,

"I did not see his sexual behaviour, and like most of these guys, to even suspect or suggest would have been spiritual suicide- or at least ministry suicide. So you didn't go there!"

This black-and-white photograph depicts an interior view of a simple wooden tent serving as a place of worship, labeled "Assembly of God" by the roadside in Cache County, Oklahoma. The image is part of Dorothea Lange's photographic collection and captures a moment from 1892-4.
The scene shows multiple rows of wooden benches arranged to face towards what would be an altar area on one side (though it isn't visible), with no actual religious iconography in sight, perhaps indicating the simplicity or temporary nature of this gathering. The interior is sparsely decorated and lacks any elaborate furnishings; walls are adorned with a few items like a hat, lanterns for lighting, posters, and some indistinct objects that might represent everyday life during a time when such encampments were common.
There's an air of quietness or waiting in the atmosphere created by the empty benches. The photograph is taken from an angle where one can see both sides of the tent space; however, no people are present within the frame which gives it a sense of abandonment and stillness.
