Here are collages of #lunarsketches from my workshops this weekend at #EuroreanAstroFest2026 (click to expand them). I'm insanely proud; the majority of people had NEVER attempted to draw the Moon or indeed drawn anything since high school, so these are very impressive! #AstronomySketching

4 years ago I created this pastel drawing of the lunar crater named for #CarolineHerschel. From Earth it's a small crater with little detail visible so I used an #LRO photo as my reference.

Had a lovely day for my last set of #workshops of 2024. I taught 3 classes today in a local(ish) high school. All 3 did #AstronomySketching + 2 had short talks too. The pupils were impeccably behaved & they produced amazing results! Here are my sketches #SpaceArt #STEM #Outreach
