We love DDLC. A lot. We own so much merch. This idea was always going to occur to us, what with our long time obsession and current hyperfixation! One of our- I'm actually going to do this one singularly. Hi, I'm Reed! I am speaking for myself! One of my favorite types of characters designs, the LEGALLY DISTINCT CHARACTER! Of course, I couldn't resist applying that to a bunch of things, like DDLC! First off, the uniform. I had to go to the Beta Designs for that! They're iconic! At least, to a superfan like me. Then, I worked with a little something that's been stuck in our brain, a concept art in DDLC+ that shows the Dokis at different distances from the camera, and which portrays Monika and Natsuki seemingly switching heights from final design. So, let's go over them! Natalie, based on the love of my life Natsuki! She's tall now, and wearing cool gloves, on account of her being so cool! She'd be a ver aggressive survivor! I don't think I even mentioned, this is called Doki Doki Survivors! Jessika, based on Monika! Now she smol, and new hair color! I wanted to lean away from normalish hair colors. She'd still have reality warping powers, just for her friends! Yolani, based on Yuri! She got her black hair from her beta design! So much from leaving more realistic hair behind... She's a more self-sufficient playstyle. Sall, based on Sayori! Blue hair, a straight bow, and a bit of chub to seperate the body types more!(Much needed, even admittedly in my designs! Then we have Mike and Maria, MC and (the fanon) feMC! Inspired both by the official concept and fanart throughout the years! I want them to play differently, but fill the same niche, y'know? And Kayla, based on the non-canon Kaori! Had to get one OC-inspired in here, and the April Fool herself was top of the list! Gosh, I'm running out of space for the Killers... I need another post!
