Wrapping up my stream of content from the 2024 LA Auto Show with a few parting shots of Hyundai's retro INITIUM FCEV Concept, which also took to the floor.
What you see previews the brand's next FCEV product coming next year, likely our Nexo replacement.

Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson and I examining the cargo area of Hyundai's new 2026 IONIQ 9. He's a class act and surely seemed intrigued.

Undoubtedly the star of the show was Hyundai's new 2026 IONIQ 9, which will serve as the brand's electric three-row flagship. It shares its E-GMP roots with the EV9 but I like this striking, jaw-dropping design better.
Pricing TBD but a top Calligraphy trim has been confirmed.

BUCKET LIST ITEM CROSSED OFF.
I've always wanted to crawl around and sit inside a Rivian van. Lots of genuis engineering. Expect to see more of these EDVs on the road soon as general orders open for fleet operators now that the exclusive Amazon agreement for production is complete.

Speaking of Kia...we saw debuts of the facelifted 2026 EV6 and 2026 Sportage, as well as the new EV9 GT. The latter strives to mirror all of the EV6 GT's ludicrous performance yet via bulbous, family hauler format. Curious to see how that actually transpires.

To my excitement, there were plenty of concepts on the floor in LA including Kia's PV5 WKNDR which has such a cool modular cabin. I saw the PV5 first at CES earlier this year and Kia is already eyeing up the #VanLife life crowd.

LAX -> MSP -> MKE on Delta tonight.
I'll share more photos and insights from #AutomobilityLA over the weekend once I've recharged from this redeye.
Befitting for Los Angeles, Fiat debuted its next chic flavor of the electric 500e, the 2025 Giorgio Armani Edition.
I'm no fashion coneissur but this special edition is super sharp. I love the two-tone wheels and rich materials inside...I still don't love the price.

I'm sad it no longer has eight cylinders, but admittedly...folks Dodge's new electric 2024 Charger Daytona is bad ass. Can't wait to drive this with either powertrain.
Stellantis is trying to get this out the door ASAP by year's end.

YOU GUYS LOOK!

Yep, I REALLY like the new redesigned 2026 Honda Passport, serious throwback BOF SUV vibes depsite being a unibody crossover. I bet this one sells like hotcakes. Pictured here is the rugged TrailSport sporting P275/60R-18

Can confirm: The Cybercab is hilariously dumb.
That said...I would not be surprised if we eventually (within the decade) see an entry-level, smaller drivable Tesla based off of this setup/platform. All the right roots are there for it to happen. Not everyone will want a robotaxi.
