This image captures the remote alpine village of Juf, located in the Avers Valley, Switzerland. Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,126 meters (6,975 feet), Juf is one of the highest permanently inhabited villages in Europe. The village consists of traditional stone and wood houses with sloped roofs, adapted to withstand the harsh mountain climate. Nestled among rolling hills and rugged peaks, Juf is surrounded by vast, treeless alpine meadows, characteristic of this elevation.
