Introduction — VapourSynth R73 documentation

Mit #vapoursynth und #AVISynth gibt es heute schon 2 Scriptsprache, für Videoproduktion

Most of today has been tediously filming and editing the forthcoming (if I finish it!) music video to my next single 'All Controlled By Someone'. Coming out on Friday. Scripting using AVISynth+, a world away from AI.

More video work today, editing my 'Love Symphony' film from 2015 into individual tracks. AviSynth+ kept locking and crashing. I installed AviSynth v260 - it worked! But FFMpeg didn't like it. Reinstalled AviSynth+ and it all worked. Amazing how often off-and-on-again fixes things.

Screen capture of the oscilloscope emulation in X-Y mode (dual channel). It show some curly traces on a dark green screen covered with a coarse-grained grid.

I pushed the repository for the oscilloscope emulation source code (video plug-in for the #VapourSynth and #AviSynth engines):

I’ll do a proper release with compiled library, doc, etc. later.

Playing with video rendering code emulating an analogue oscilloscope, implemented as a plug-in for #VapourSynth and #AviSynth.

It looks decent, but I think I need some autocorrelation stuff to properly lock the waveform.

Kicked off another video restoration encode during lunch. GUI video editors are amazing these days and totally have their place (love you DaVinci Resolve!) but for tasks like this, I can accomplish everything I need via #AviSynth, @FFmpeg and #PowerShell
