Roll is tied to her, forced to clean said massive feet. ---- Although I played Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for a little bit on my uncle’s Xbox 360 when I was a kid, it wasn’t until recently that I dove back in. By pure luck I happened to find my main team on the very first pick: the buff schoolgirl Sakura Kasugano, the one-off monkey girl SonSon and finally… “Dotte! Dotte! Dotte!” I’ve fallen in love in B.B. Hood. Before getting into why, her international name is far better to “Bulleta”. Bulleta might be a play on beretta, but B.B. Hood works in both the fairytale reference and the firearm reference. To go on a brief tangent, Capcom’s American staff seemed far better at naming characters. Mega Man works much better than Rockman, Proto Man beats Blues any day, and the rearranged SF2 bosses make so much more sense in English. I don’t get how you look at a vain, lightning-fast Spaniard and decide to name him “Balrog” instead of “Vega”. Beyond the name, she’s fun to play. I prefer lightweights who can zip around the screen in fighting games. I’d much rather deliver a hundred small blows than play as a heavy who can’t move. Even if she’s ranked low, she’s an effective zoner. And fuck me is she adorable. I love her psychotic expressions. I love her little singing as she approaches you with death on her mind. She’s got it all going. Plus, she’s not a completely horrible person. If you look at her in Darkstalkers, she’s just a very dedicated and violent hunter. Outside of that, she’s nice. Did I mention she doesn’t wear socks? It’s a minor detail, but combined with her shoe type, that means her feet must reek while she’s fighting. She could probably wriggle her cheesy toes in your hot pizza, and it wouldn’t detract from the smell or taste at all. Heck, it’d be an enhancer.
