A4 - And (I've got lots of thoughts about this question!) start to develop a mentor NETWORK. Do not identify A mentor, but find and develop a COHORT of mentors who can help you achieve your goals. #BIDChat
A4 - Listing out your goals (& starting to develop plans to accomplish them) will help you be #successful #BIDChat
A4 - It seems sort of contrived, but taking the time to sit down & write out your 1, 3, & 5 year goals can be a useful exercise. There is SO much that comes at you during your first year (plus) as an attending, having your goals spelled out can be SUPER-helpful... #BIDChat
@NealBiddick - Haha, exactly - even worse is when the residents say "We weren't talking about you!" #BIDChat
A3 - When I realized my residents were talking about ME when they said "This will probably require an attending-to-attending conversation". . . (They were talking about me!) #BIDChat

A1: I think it's important to look at twitter in the same way we do "usual" teaching. A 1-minute teaching burst on rounds is the same as a single tweet.
If done well, it's awesome.
