#byond So I haven't done my usual monthly round up yet, I got a uni assignment due this week so I'll probably catch up on the weekend ๐Ÿ˜ฌ July was meant to be a quiet month, I only had spod, a stupid chat program, Dreamland Universe and survive this to update.

Other #byond development news: trench wars, another tower defence game was also due an update which I've done but still need to upload. It was part of a wargames bundle and not free to play technically, but I might add the set onto itch but will need to recompile the games as people won't be able to

I probably won't post it up until #BYOND is back up properly, but it's coming along nicely and possibly the first time I've included sfx and music right from the start ๐Ÿ˜‚

In regards to other #byond development, I've been working on a new game with the help of some libraries. I've got a game going that has pixel movement shooting through the mouse / right analog stick (basically, the mouse). It's designed to be a tower defence / shooter, a bit like orks must die

Kinfolk - Development Update: Version 18 - Steam News The game loop has finally been completely closed! All of the objectives for the demo version have been implemented, and the final phase of level design for the village has begun!

It took awhile, but the latest version of Kinfolk was finished up and put out on the Discord today. You can read about it on Steam, and be sure to wishlist the game while you're there! :)

Today is the 18th anniversary of Wargames2, my Civilization clone on #BYOND. Unfortunately it still seems to be suffering from an apparent DDOS attack from a few days ago (like, seriously?) so I'm going to keep working on the update while it's down and upload when it's back up.

Also Finding The Light is my main project right now, so i'm definitely not meeting my original self-imposed July release for Cerulia on Steam. Cerulia is on a hiatus at the moment.

What game engine do you use and why?

I'll go first.

I use an engine called #BYOND. It has its roots as a MUD engine and was started back in the 90's. It's got a special place in my memories, and can still be used to make a great multiplayer game today!
