Backbone Pro : une nouvelle manette berceau plus chère, plus confortable et compatible Bluetooth Backbone est de retour avec une nouvelle manette berceau au tarif exorbitant visant les joueurs les plus exigeants. En plus de quelques améliorations côté confort comme des sticks de taille standard, cette Backbone Pro embarque désormais une connectivité Bluetooth. On pourra ainsi s’en servir pour des jeux sur iPhone avant de l'utiliser pour continuer une partie sur son Mac. Il est également possible de la brancher directement en filaire pour une latence moindre ou pour jouer sur une tablette. Cette Backbone Pro reprend une disposition assez classique avec deux sticks asymétriques plus confortables et des boutons XYAB que l’on nous présente comme étant plus silencieux. On retrouve aussi un combo Start/Select, une touche de capture d’écran, une croix directionnelle et un bouton pour lancer l’app maison. Les gâchettes sont à effet Hall, une technologie qui devrait offrir de meilleures sensations. Autre petite nouveauté : l’entreprise a ajouté deux boutons personnalisables tombant sous les index. Le Bluetooth a visiblement été bien pensé, avec une fonction permettant de rapidement passer d’un appareil à l’autre sans se reconnecter. L’intégration avec l’application Backbone devrait être améliorée, celle-ci faisant office d’agrégateur de jeux pour les multiples plateformes. Backbone affirme qu’il sera possible d’enregistrer de nombreux profils pour ses différents jeux. L’autonomie monte jusqu’à 40 heures. La manette est USB-C, ce qui exclut les téléphones sortis avant l’iPhone 15. L’accessoire fonctionne avec un grand nombre de coques, comme celle en silicone d’Apple. Il sera prochainement mis en vente sur le site du constructeur, sachant que le tarif américain est de 170 $ : on devrait s’approcher des 200 € dans la version européenne. Backbone n’est pas le seul sur le créneau des manettes haut de gamme, et nous avions testé il y a quelque temps la Kishi Ultra, une manette au concept similaire sans connectivité sans fils.
