Being invaded is not a crisis in #Canada. What is a crisis is a #BeaverTails stand on the #RideauCanal that is closed!
I should note that by 1100 hrs it had opened, though, so crisis averted for today!

And while @kathrynbarr.bsky.social and I were down at the #RinkOfDreams in #Ottawa yesterday skating, #BeaverTails had a sale on for $2. That resulted in hundreds, if not a thousand people lining up for them.
Methinks this proves they are regularly overpriced!

For those in Canada that follow me and don't already know, #BeaverTails freeze/reheat very well. I just consumed one that was purchased/frozen over a month ago, and I'm still over here telling people about BeaverTails. For those that need to come visit: let's start with a snack and go from there.

Rideau Canal Skateway is 4.8 miles, which stretches from #Ottawa’s downtown core to Dows Lake. It is the largest naturally frozen skating rink in the world.
