Two strips of french Napoleonic infantry, one of 20 men with their smart uniforms on display, the other strip of 20 all wearing great coats to keep their uniforms clean. Beside them is a regimental commander, to lead the force into battle.
First painted minis of 2026! Napoleonic French for Black Powder. I'm pleased with them, but the colour of the blue uniforms could be a bit lighter, I think. Still, that's something to consider for the next sprue (three more to start).

Two turned round flasks: a large one out of ash, bound with an iron strip and brass rings to hang it. A wooden spout and cap that can double as a powder measure A small one is of mahogany, also bound with an iron strip. It has a brass spout with a brass plug. It serves as a small flask for birdshot, but could also be used for powder.
Random Repost: a couple of my early flasks. The large one is of ash, the little one I use as a little birdshot flask, made from a scrap of mahogany. Both are two-piece construction, like two bowls joined together. The larger one has a blowout disc. #woodworking #woodturning #blackpowder
