After pulverizing the wooden dummy to test the resistance of his fists, elbows and feet, Hiroki asked his sister to finish the training with a 5 minutes fight where he had to be unpredictable while avoiding any parasitic gestures that could damage the surprise effect, which Yumi accepted without hesitation in order to finish in beauty. At 30 seconds from the end of the fight, Hiroki tried to use the technique of the cutting hand on Yumi's neck but she quickly understood what he was going to do and defended herself by blocking her right forearm, grabbing her wrist, passing under her arm and counter-attacking by hitting her with her elbow on her abdomen to take her breath away. This was very effective and then the kunoichi followed up by mowing down his right foot to unbalance him and then finished with a front throw where Hiroki fell full force to the ground, putting an end to the confrontation.

Continuing the karate training intensively, Yumi decided to make his little brother pass a difficult test consisting of pulverizing a wooden dummy like Daniel LaRusso had to do in Karate kid 3, Hiroki must not hold back his blows and go all out as if his life was in danger leaving him no choice to survive, which will allow him to evaluate his level of endurance and resistance by being able to break the legs, torso and head of the dummy without suffering. Yumi demonstrated on the first dummy where she had no difficulty in breaking the legs, the torso and the head by adopting the proper posture, extreme concentration and finally the kiai cry intended to contract the abdominal muscles and to put more force in the given blow. To have seen his elder sister able to break this pile of wood without suffering with such a power scared him a little while showing that it is necessary not to threaten his life at the risk of suffering the consequences and also the necessary motivation to succeed in this hard test. After two minutes of concentration, Hiroki started to act by breaking the wooden legs at the level of the knee by a powerful lateral sweep of the right leg then followed with a violent atemi in the sternum which broke under the shock of the fist which would have broken the ribs of an adversary if it had touched him.

For the last weekend of the 2007 summer holidays, Hiroki decided to perfect his kyokushinkai karate fighting techniques with Yumi in order to go further in his initiation and not to rest on his laurels after having successfully passed the tests for the passage of rank supervised by Akiko and Takeho on August 31, This was also a good way for Yumi to finish the holidays in beauty after having welcomed Aelita during the first two weeks of July and then from mid-July to the beginning of August to stay on the island. July to the beginning of August to stay on the Hokkaido's island and to finish a week in Alsace during the third week of August while being an excellent initiative to start her new life more calm and quiet after 2 years and 8 months of war against XANA in company of her friends which ended in the tragic death of the father of Aelita who sacrificed himself to annihilate the evil A.I. The kunoichi is aware that nothing will be the same after all that she lived and the numerous post-traumatic after-effects that XANA inflicted on her (especially in seasons 3 and 4) but she will manage to recover little by little from these traumatic moments without having to lie to her family about her activities as a Lyokowarrior now that it is over. Yumi and Hiroki used to train on average 5 times a week for 2 hours during the evening in goju-ryu or shotokan karate in order to deepen their training in fighting techniques, application/mastery of katas, development of flexibility as well as the discipline and spirituality of the Far Eastern philosophy. With his older sister who is a 3rd dan black belt in this style as well as in karate kyokushinkai, wado-ryu, tai-jitsu, goju-ryu and shotokan, 2nd dan in kung-fu and ninjutsu, the young boy is in very good hands and also knows that he must not overestimate his abilities by being arrogant and pretentious otherwise it will cause him to make technical mistakes and defeats.
