This isn’t an ad. Not an affiliate. Just wanted to show you how I protect my books. It won’t raise the value but will help lessen further damage. I use mylar (a kind of plastic) book sleeves. Just slip the cover into the sleeve and fold it to the height.

this is how we get started on #bookrepair as a hobby.
to fix this particular problem, paint a very thin line of PVA glue (1mm is enough) along both sides of the spine edge of the book, put it back in place, and put the book under some weight (a few more books) for an hour or two.
