From the otherside, Facebook An Uber driver named Fritz Sam became an unexpected hero while driving a passenger to the airport in Brooklyn, New York. During the ride, he noticed flames and smoke coming from a residential building and asked his passenger if he could pull over to help. After learning there might still be people inside, Sam ran into the smoke-filled building and spent several minutes guiding two residents out to safety before firefighters arrived. After ensuring the residents were safe, Sam returned to his car and continued the trip. Despite the dramatic detour, he still managed to get his passenger to the airport in time for her flight. The passenger later shared the story on social media, where it quickly went viral, with many praising Sam’s bravery. Sam downplayed the attention, saying he simply wanted to “do the right thing.”
