🌍🌏 Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops) The Eurasian Hoopoe is a striking bird with a prominent fan-like crest that it can raise or lower. Its plumage is a warm cinnamon colour, contrasted with bold black and white stripes on its wings and tail. It has a long, slender, downcurved bill. This species is widely distributed across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Many populations in the northern part of their range are migratory, while African populations are sedentary.
