A1: If we are insistent that school uses of AI push our thinking and creativity rather than replace it, and we articulate our reasoning for when we invite or refrain from AI interaction: there is hope in that. We can’t let hype or fear distract us from that.

A4 I would like to learn more about the various different AI tools, not only the ChatGPT and Co-pilot and learn how to harness its power to do things differently, to develop critical thinking and to use it to become better independent and autonomous learners to thrive in communities.

A3 AI can empower learners as it can curate so many other sources to help create connections that students sometimes struggle with. It can be used to search for grander ideas, to push the limits and to think critically as humans to practice creativity. A human's heart should guide AI.

A2 Some of the challenges with AI is that students will sometimes seek to do work faster, to be less engaged, and to simply want to achieve better with that highter grade. They will seek the shortcut to "show" mastery without actually learning, or wanting to engage with the ideas.

A1 AI can be used to test out hypotheses, to brainstorm ideas, to help connect the dots. Can be used to help research challenges in our communities, provide some fresh ideas, but also to provide feedback to continously seek how to better communicate. AI is a tool to support learning.

A4 We need to show kids that teaching is fun. That it is rewarding. Too often, people share the negative, the frustrations, the complaints. But if kids see educators smiling, having fun, wanting to do the work, they will want to be like us. Build in more joy, excitement, fulfillment.
