It's a wonderful thing, walking up to see my sweet baby Grrrl Sonya snuggled up tight to me. Falling asleep on the sound of her softly breathing. It was 25 degrees F at 5 am when I awoke, which rose to 46 degrees by 10 am. The acceleration of Global Warming is making itself perfectly clear, to those who have the mind to perceive it...
Sleepin'in Sunday is what #DogDay it is. Up early with Sonya, gettin'her breakfast, breaking the ice on her big ol' water bowl, then a nice brisk walk. It was cold, breezy. There is no doubt that "Corso"-type #dogs (from the Latin 'cohors', protector of the court) have been present in #Italy for centuries, descendants of Roman molossers (canes pugnaces), also used in arena fights.
But establishing the #CaneCorso breed as ancient is a long way from being true.
