Side view of the model. The blue tank shines brightly, as well as the various parts painted using metallic colors. The chrome parts were especially difficult to paint for me, using Mr.Hobby Plate Silver NEXT (unfortunately discontinued).
View of the 1/12 scale Honda CB400 model from the front. The image showcases the intricate wiring, the different shades of metallic paints involved. The overall look was kept clean to make the impression of a motorcycle that is loved and kept in showroom condition but still ridden.
3/4 front view of the Honda CB400 model. The exhaust being yellowed by the high temperatures was replicated by lightly spraying Mr.Hobby C48 Clear Yellow.
Close-up view on the engine of the Honda CB400 model. Light weathering using Tamiya Panel Liner Black was done on the carburetors and the engine. The radiator was dry brushed using Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver (enamel) to make the small details pop. The contrast in finish can be seen between the matte seat, hi-gloss tank and the shine of various metallic paints.
