little feat's "the last record album" anniversary box set, with a bunch of extras that have been available elsewhere and a overly loud "remaster" of the album… ... but it has a tremendous 1975 LA live set that you can only get in this box - and the vinyl version doesn't have that set & yet it costs even more...🤔
😱 due to the insanity this current timeline is generating, I nearly forgot it's #CDFriday 😱
I wasn't going to get this (I have issues with all these mausoleum-ified box sets) & i sure wasn't going to pay the asking price - but i _really_ wanted that LA live set
but this showed up cheap and *yoink*

Helmet really carved out their own niche in the 90s metal scene. They looked and sounded unique and really killed it live.
The AmRep era - before they broke through with Meantime - is still a favorite of mine.
This CD has b-sides and non album tracks from that era. Highly recommended.

Secret Messages by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) on CD
#CDFriday with Secret Messages by ELO! Some christian fundamentalists at the time believed some ELO songs had secret satanic messages in them, to which Jeff Lynne responded by making an album full of secret messages. Synth pop starts to overtake the “Orchestra” here but I love it for what it is.

My latest acquisition for #cdfriday - I was really excited to finally get this, but it's got issues. One of the tracks is missing, second to last track cuts out before the song is finished, and the last track is blank.
