The Taoiseach reconfirmed to me just now that they are pressing ahead with ratification of the CETA trade deal through the Arbitration Act due to the economic benefits (which are not in dispute) but cited any one who has an issue with the Investor Courts dispute mechanism as "ideological". #ceta

La Eurocámara paraliza la tramitación del acuerdo UE-Mercosur y lo envía a la Justicia europea La votación ha tenido lugar de manera dividida dentro de los propios grupos parlamentarios.

Aunque la decisión del Parlamento Europeo, de someter el acuerdo UE-Mercosur a la revision jurídica del TJUE, es muy relevante, la Comisión Europea solicitará ahora al Consejo de la UE la aplicación provisional como pasó con el #CETA (UE-Canadá).

A new report shows that Russian oligarchs are exploiting ISDS courts to resist the sanctions that have been imposed on them.

So on the one hand the Irish Government talk a lot about their support for Ukraine while on the other hand, they want to lock us into these insidious courts through #CETA
