Looked up my old school out of curiosity, found the best thing I've ever actually seen about the place.

#CSUCI is totally run by campus police. Their admin of parking passes is an outright scam, and they park their SUVs on the actual quad just to intimidate students.

Go anywhere but there, kids.

Installation-in-progress of a suite of display fixtures for LG televisions. Contractors handled flooring and electrical, all other wiring and setup was us.

A tech is working on an extended lift during a remodel-in-progress of a Best Buy store.

Nearing completion of a Best Buy remodel. Our team has built all the new black fixtures, installed all displays and demos (Sonos underway in the corner), and set all product. In the back we're building cabinets and installing kitchens.

While I was at #PCC, I picked up an hourly gig with #bestbuy in Pasadena. Started in merch, moved into the store's inventory spot.

With the move to #CSUCI I joined an overnight regional facilities group. Installations, repairs & support, remodels. Real fun stuff. #vh1storytellers #backtowork

The plus side of #CSUCI has easy admissions, small classes, low tuition. 20 minutes from the beach.

It's also VERY sketchy. Police create parking scarcity/misdirection then cash in on tickets. Housing held my last semester hostage demanding $6k for a dorm I never occupied.

The age thing was more present at #CSUCI than it had been at #PCC, but I was too busy to care.

There were a few social opportunities I missed out on that still bum me out a bit, but overall the human element was as much a wash as PCC's had been.

There wasn't much of an age thing, plenty of people there in my ballpark. Was mostly taking evening classes around work that I'll come back to later.

Options afterward were limited as I wanted to keep the new job. #CSUN wasn't accepting midyear admits to any program. #CSUCI emerged as the plan.
