Mr. Otto, in this picture, is half-curled on an anonymous gray background (it's my chest but could easily be a pillow). His oversized front paws are raised and folded over, made even larger by foreshortening because the camera was right close. His eyes are half-open, inviting the viewer to reach in and give a scritch or two. But the viewer cannot, for you are far away. Why?!?
