#CatchingMyEar today is this remarkably beautiful, peaceful yet rather melancholy piece by Marin Marais called "Les Voix Humaines" ("Human Voices"), from 1701. Why that name? Don't know; doesn't matter.

#CatchingMyEar , for some time actually, is this "Geistliches Wiegenlied" ("Spiritual Lullaby"), the second song from Brahms's "Zwei Gesänge, Op. 91", for viola, piano, & voice.

It is such a gentle, sublime lullaby, here sung by a baritone, whose voice goes beautifully with the viola.
