Ugh. My gawd. What a good chapter. Tense as hell.

Cross and Maru are also becoming so much more interesting than I originally felt about them.
Love that Cross is the genuinely sensitive, thoughtful one of the two. That Maru, despite his happy-go-lucky exterior, is the assertive one.
