The #Cheka was founded on #ThisDayInHistory in 1917. The #SovietUnion's first #SecretPolice, & a core #DeepState element, put the lie to many of #Lenin's claims about the #Marxist elimination of the state. Any so-called #TransitionalState with such powers will never give them up.
Early tension turned to full-fledged betrayal by #RedArmy at #Lenin & #Trotsky's order on #ThisDayInHistory in 1920. A #Makhnovist delegation was sent to Moscow and shot, and hundreds of #anarchists in #Ukraine were arrested, including all members of #Nabat the #Cheka could find.
November 6, 1931 - in Moscow, a delegation from Lugansk presented to the government the first steam locomotive of the "Felix Dzerzhinsky" series.
