UVP handheld UV lamps have been discontinued... I need six more for my teaching lab. Any one has suggestions of alternatives? I realistically only 254 nm since this is for TLC visualization. #chemchat
A molecular dynamics trajectory plotted as protein alpha carbon RMSD in Angstroms on the Y axis and time in nanoseconds on the X axis. The curve is a nice initial rise in RMSD which stabilises after around 30 nanoseconds.

An orange Home Depot bucket sits atop a large ceramic-top hotplate stirrer, a teensy vortex seen in the surface suggesting that stirring is somehow happening.
Prepping 2x20kg of an aqueous formulation base when you usually outsource to a kilo-lab is NOT fun! My experience prepping buckets of ceramic glazes certainly came in handy.
You CAN stir 5-gallon buckets on a magnetic stirrer if it’s big enough, but I don’t recommend it.

The cylinder comes with 33 psi of 13CO2 and a big warning label not to open it without a regulator-otherwise you lose your precious gas!
