#JohnMayall and the Bluesbreakers were one of a few British blues bands that emerged in late 60s, along with #FleetwoodMac & #ChickenShack.
#EricClapton played in the band 1965-1966 just before #Creamband.
Love this "later in life" performance with the late great #GaryMoore.

I love #ChickenShack. #StanWebb was such a terrific and immensely underated blues guitarist. Certainly nearly on a par with #PeterGreen.
In 1972, CHICKEN SHACK released their fifth album IMAGINATION LADY.
GOING DOWN is more like "rock blues".
Only letdown is the singing.

#Remembering #JethroTull bassist #JohnGlascock (2 May 1951 – 17 November 1979).
He died at the age of 28, as a result of a congenital heart defect. He had also been a member of #ChickenShack & #Carmen

#StanWebb is one of the most underrated blues guitarists ever.
Maybe not as gifted as #JeffBeck or as revolutionary as #JimiHendrix but better than #Clapton, #JohnMayall and just about every other British blues player.
His band #ChickenShack recorded so much awesome blues.
