⚠ UPDATE: The affected train will proceed from #Chilham towards Ashford at a reduced speed. A service towards Canterbury is running at reduced speed in order to examine the line and check the status of the tree.

#chilham is very nice, proper olde worlde. Two pubs down so far, the White Horse and the Woolpack. The White Horse is very friendly, has a pub dog called Bob.
Doing a long weekend solo camp near #Chilham in #Kent. Lovely country round here and pigs, ostriches and hens in the field next door.
NEW: Because of a fallen tree blocking the railway at #Chilham, trains are currently unable to run between Ashford and Ramsgate via Canterbury West. Where possiblle, trains will be diverted via Dover. More information to follow when we have it.

#OTD 1979 The oldest living ex-Marine aged 90, Jack Larkin was presented with a silver tankard and a free daily pint for life by Whitbread Fremlins at his local, the White Horse, #Chilham.
He sunk his first pint there when he was 14, and still has 2 pints of mild every day.
