This mulch layer will help create a thriving ecosystem for insects, worms, and healthy soil life, all built on the rich compost generously donated by our partners at the Castro Valley Sanitary District. ♻️💚 We also planted two new apple trees, marking the first steps toward a public food forest that we hope will begin gifting fruit to the community as early as next year.
