Letter headed "Interference by Russia must not be skipped", which appeared in The Yorkshire Post on 21 February 2026. Peter Packham, Chair of Leeds for Europe, says the Rycroft Review into foreign financial influence in British politics - due to be published in March 2026 - would have been an opportunity to address concerns about Russian interference in the 2016 Brexit referendum. However, the UK government has already ruled this issue is outside the review's remit.
