With intentions to disrupt comfort of the status quo. Existing establishment question the wisdom of defiance. Old guard urging appeasement, unity, and soft-spoken diplomacy.
Emerging leaders refusing quiet conformity. Shining light on manipulation long cloaked in civility. Exposing how fear and prejudice have been wielded to control and divide. Their call to rebellion. Call for truth. Call for courage in the face of complacent power.

Journal entry July 16, 2025 Picture today not least bit expected where I was just a couple of years ago. Devoted a ton of time last year to thoughtful solitude, introspection, and mindful awareness. Brought to light how much had slipped past my gratitude. A simple and sometimes multifaceted, richly woven part of what defines me unveiled itself. Also gave me clarity in choosing who truly deserves a place in my world. Having true gratitude for the steady presences I hadn’t fully appreciated. Such a treasure of once silent, overlooked abundance. I’m a rich man!

Making derision and division acceptable practices. Tapping into inherently unshakable core beliefs. Mal-intentioned targeting with disingenuous motives. Ill gotten political gains most often funded by unscrupulous financial backers. Primarily due to U.S. Supreme Court case— Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. Dramatically changed rules around campaign finance and political spending in the United States. Handful of billionaires buying the elections spreading misinformation, and exploiting voters anxiety triggers. Creating cognitive distortions and pushing buttons tapping into emotional insecurities. Shameful where we stand today. Hopeful the general public soon begins boycotting election purchases.

Posted 366 memes last year representing my daily thoughts and gratitude. It was rewarding, but laborious. Learned so much about myself, how I interact with all I love and anyone around me, and many life lessons I continue to strive to abide by. I’ve since taken a sabbatical from social media. Will say it’s liberating. Facebook and Instagram were such time sucks for me last year. Time for a change.
Initially thought to seek refuge from intentional exploitation of our fears and insecurities from the clickbait, algorithm driven Meta Worlds of Facebook and Instagram. Don’t miss the targeted content and ads continually bombarding my feeds. Always felt a lurking intrusion. Bought myself a Birthday Gift - a fountain pen. Last one I had was a few decades ago. Developing a skill I haven’t used for years. So enjoying back to basics. Working on my penmanship. Words flowing through tip of my pen is so much more gratifying than FB or Instagram ever were. Ernie
