Trump to escalate global trade tensions with new reciprocal tariffs on US trading partners U.S. President Donald Trump was poised to impose sweeping new reciprocal tariffs on global trading partners on Wednesday, upending decades of rules-based trade, threatening cost increases and likely drawing retaliation from all sides.

Trade wars like the one the Shitwaffle announced today don’t help the country. They might help him rally a base or shift blame, but for the rest of us, they bring nothing but price hikes, economic pain, and fewer global allies.
