Pg 1 of my letter to TX Senators & my House Rep: Y'all, the current chaos around the govt shutdown, federalized forces in US cities, tarriffs, health insurance tax credits expiring is all just too much. As your constituent, I urge you all to pass a Continuing Resolution which includes extention of the enhanced ACA tax credits at least through 2026, and restoration of some of the OBBB Medicaid cuts that stand to decimate small and rural Texas hospitals. We all know restoring some of these cuts and extending the enhanced ACA subsidies has nothing to do with immigrants in the US illegally. (EMTALA has been the law since the 1980's.) Many Texans will be adversely affected by Medicaid cuts and the expiration of the enhanced ACA tax credits on Dec 31, 2025. People are already hurting because of continued and rising inflation, job losses throughout the country and Texas, and the broadly imposed tariffs that rightfully should be in the hands of Congress, not wielded haphazardly as a weapon by any President. 1/2

Many smaller Texas communities will be left without any emergency healthcare. My request is that my Senators and House Rep will heed the call of the majority of your constituents and quickly pass a CR which reopens the govt, pays federal employees, and includes extension of the ACA enhanced tax credits and restores some of the Medicaid cuts for the benefit of rural hospitals and Texans. 2/2
