Inspired by the classic DOOM RPG, the Dungeons of DUSK demo is out now Taking the retro FPS Dusk and turning it into a retro dungeon crawler with a big sprawling skill tree - Dungeons of DUSK has a demo out now. It's a sort-of spin-off, taking place initially between Episode 1 and Episode 2 and then later between Episode 2 and Episode 3 of the original Dusk. However, you don't really need to have played Dusk or know much about it. If you enjoy brutal dungeon crawling, you'll likely get along with this one just fine. Especially with the moody atmosphere, the different weapons with their alternate fire modes and the vast upgrade system. Full-screen acted pretty weirdly, forcing me to run it in windowed mode and the Steam Overlay doesn't work at all which is a common issue in Native Linux games built with web tech that Valve still haven't solved for years but apart from that it works well. They've recently set a release date for March 9th, and a demo refresh is coming for Steam Next Fest on February 23rd. Made by two developers that form indie team Siege Wizard Interactive (with the help of a few friends) and published by indie.io, Pluto blends turn-based deckbuilding with a tactile spell-casting system built around overlapping gestures and improvised combinations.
