Gang Gang Cockatoos live in family groups of 5-10 with a clear hierarchy. This family comes down to drink at sunset.
The name gang-gang comes from the Wiradjuri name and possibly other Aboriginal languages, and is thought to be onomatopoeic, describing the call.
